What type of birds would be singing at midnight in middle Tennessee?
I hear a bird singing outside my window right now and I'm curious what type of bird it might be. Any ideas?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Apparently the Tennessee State Bird, the Northern Mockingbird (Mimus polyglottos), will often sing all night long. It would be an unmated mail. Listen to a sample of the song here:

I'm so pleased to hear that it was the right bird - and that the bird answered. SO cool. Thanks for the feedback, Darcy!
