What toxic metals are in an sd card? My dog just ate one.
My dog, a medium sized nordic breed, 2 years old, ate the sd card that I had pulled out of my Canon 1160 powershot camera. I know there is metal contacts on the card, what are they made of? Is it toxic?

I am not sure about how toxic an SD card is, but here is the number to animal poison control: (888) 426-4435. They are probably knowledgeable about whether or not it will harm your dog. Here is their website as well: http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/poison-control/

Thanks. He ate 3/4 of the card, then only ate half his dinner, and was all fine by the next morn.
Still, curious, I found absolutely nothing on the composition of these cards--what ARE those metal strips, or contacts, made of?
