M$Instead, go to one of their sister stores -- Lane Bryant or Fashion Bug.
Fashion bug is decently priced, some good sales, some good coupons, and you can sign up for their text club -I found that on their Facebook page. The clothes are trendy and mostly affordable. They have sizes for the smaller person, and up to I think a size 30. www.fashionbug.com
Lane Bryant is a great stores. Their sales are the best! They are a little pricey - though, but totally worth it. They offer free bra fittings - so you can wear the right size bra - and not have any problems. This is the store you will want if you are looking for career clothing- they have really great suits, skirts, pants, and dress shirts and even sweaters and jackets. They also have jeans, tshirts, tanks etc.
If you ever heard of Spanx - this is where you would get them. If you have never heard of them, they are amazing! They help smooth and control problem areas (stomach, thighs and hips) and are perfect under dresses, pants, and just about everything. There are a few styles available. And they easily hide under clothes. Check them out either in the store or on the website. www.lanebryant.com
As far as online options.
Check out Hips and Curves. They are teaching that beauty does not care what size you are. You are beautiful, and their clothes help show that. They offer lingerie, shoes, costumes, and some apparel. Check them out at www.hipsandcurves.com
If you do a google search for plus size clothing or even plus size trendy clothing it should show some sites. I know there are quite a few sites that offers clothing for plus size women, however super expensive Such as Monif C. http://www.monifc.com/plus-size-clothes.html Really beautiful but kinda pricey.
Good luck and tell your friend that beauty comes in all sizes :D
