Some of my most favorite songs for putting a smile on my face and making me happy include:
Walk of Life - Dire Straights
Say Hey I Love You - Michael Franti
Soak Up The Sun - Sheryl Crow
Soul Sister - Train
Hey Ya - Outkast
Milk Crisis -The Go! Team
I Got a Feeling - Black Eye Peas
Run Run Away - Slade
With those examples I guess anyone can get the idea of the beat I enjoy. This are mostly silly little songs that don't have deep meaning. The deeper meaning songs usually don't improve my mood.

M$Well first of all I would have to say that music has always been a big part of my life, and effects my mood no mater what! The type of music that improves my mood or pumps me up more than anything would have to be techno. There are also a few rap or r&b songs and artists that can do it as well. The Black Eyed Peas, are one of these bands taht is not techno, and another one would be Ludacris. Techno music though pretty much any type of it, I like happy hardcore, band like dj s3rl, and dj skippy. They always sing about really upbeat and happy situations and the music is just hard to not feel good to!
