Maybe "The Nerd" would have been more appropriate but alas this is as close as Ozzy gets.

M$I was hoping you would like my choice @unwirklich! like the german version alot more but i figured "life is life" is better for a montage if you speak english. "Leben ist Leben" just sounds way more epic for some reason.
I love that song lol excellent choice.
Haha no not at all, when i think montage i think of great warriors and adventure. My real montage would be a lot of computer, reading, and piano. Not that exciting. I would have to spice it up a little bit and have flames and battles.
Definitely has that montage feeling--if you took out thepart where there are vocals, took out the singer and and added a sportscaster it could be a 2-minute opening to Monday night Football or the Final game of the World Series...
"These two teams have battled it out all season long. They've had injury, illness, catastrophe in their home cities, and here they are it all rests on this game, when one will walk away the champion. Hello everyone, I'm Gary Allen, along with Joe Shmo, and welcome to the 2010 World Series!"
I don't usually vote someone up if I've answered the question myself, but I could see this song working.that working fr a montage..
http://users.cjb.net/garyallen/GARedAuto-200hi.jpg
Well.. sounds less cool if you don't speak German at least lol :P
pretty cool you must have some cool scenes to go in your montag. I'm thinking mine would be pretty slow.
@garyallen i never thought of it that way! They should start using songs like this for sports. I'll send you an instrumental and you do an introduction over it, your on to something here, haha! Thanks for the vote.
"Wherever I am, you'll always be, more than just a memory" how perfect!

M$If I created this photo collage of my life, I would focus the pictures of all the people who were most influential in my life, to somewhat fit the theme of the song.

M$I thought it was deep more than dark, had that underlying theme that love is something worth enduring for no matter how dark things become. was the first time a movie/anime made me cry.
I love that song too, but in the context of the anime, it takes on a different feel. Elfen Lied is DARK!

M$It's not because my life has been perfect, by no means, or that I'm a sentimental fool. Certainly several years ago I would have chosen another song, something more hard-edge and cutting. Then I was diagnosed with cancer – I'm fine now and won't bore people with details – and that was a game changer.
It was the best thing that ever happened to me. I was forced to reassess my priorities, my relationships, my life...and my perspective on things. And I came out the other end of everything a better, healthier, happier person.
And it's not like everyday is filled with rainbows, dreams, and lemon drops, folks. I still have plenty of days where I think my life would be better characterized by Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation" or "Old 55" by Tom Waits.
But at the end of the day, what I embrace – what I choose to embrace – is Izzy's more uplifting song to remind me to focus on the memories I choose to hold onto and the life I'm trying to live.
And "Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World" is the song I played during chemotherapy, at the end of my first half marathon, and on the day I got married. It will also be the song that gets played at my memorial years and years from now, but probably without the montage. :)
YouTube for the video, life experience for the rest.

M$But the question is a lot more. It's about a montage of my life and what it all has meant to me. As I look back on my 43 (almost 44) years of existence, I think about the people who have been an inspiration to my life, and who have guided me through the years. There have been many. I've met a lot of wonderful people (and unfortunately a lot of not so wonderful people) but there is one person who has meant the most to me and that's my Grandma, who passed away in 2007. She did everything for me (and everybody else too) and never asked for anything in return. Even when I was mad for whatever silly reason, she would always be there.
Even though the last few years of her life were spent in a retirement home and I was living somewhere else, it was as if she was always there. And I know she's still here somewhere. I do miss her but I know she's watching. And one song that reminds me of her is Bette Midler singing Wind Beneath My Wings. It just reminds me of my Grandma. Every image in this montage I owe to her.

M$I don't think anyone should repress regrets for the wrong things we do in life. Otherwise, no one would show remorse for any wrongdoing, and there's no stopping the world from becoming a worse place.

The idea that one should have no regrets in life worked for Frank Sinatra, but not really for the people of the Philippines. If you don't know the track record of the most favorite karaoke song in the Philippines, check out this news article on an idea gone wild: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/philippines/7199022/My-Way-deaths-lead-karaoke-bars-in-Philippines-to-ban-song.html

The lyrics to the song are not to be taken so seriously and this is kind of a way to express that it's okay to relax, not be so serious, and just dance!

M$It's a classic by Simon & Garfunkel - The 59th Street Bridge Song ( FEELIN' GROOVY!)
Slow down, you move too fast
You got to make the morning last
Just kicking down the cobblestones
Looking for fun and feeling groovy
Ba da da da da da da, feeling groovy
Hello lamppost, what'cha knowing
I've come to watch your flowers growin'
Ain't cha got no rhymes for me?
Doo-it in doo doo, feeling groovy
Ba da da da da da da, feeling groovy
I got no deeds to do
No promises to keep
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep
Let the morning time drop all its petals on me
Life I love you, all is groovy

M$I love this song. I have found happiness and peace in my life and I never want anyone to cry at my funeral. If I die tomorrow I can honestly say I found the true meaning of life and happiness.

M$If I had to choose a single song to represent it,
it would probably be "People Are Strange" by The Doors (see source 1, below).
However, I did have a recent "life event" that I happened to put to music a short time ago
(see source 2, below). Enjoy!

M$Now, after making it through 4 strokes and neurosurgery 7 times,at least 10 ICU visits and almost losing my life twice in 2008, among the things I do now is volunteer to do advocacy writing for the disabled. I'm not shy of very big corporations or hospital administrators--or one to shy away from politicians. If I'm 110% sure I'm right, I diplomatically start at the top. And I get results--usually within hours, not within days .
(A bunch of not-so-nice stuff about the people who doubted me--and of the arguments that were had over whether I actually had the ability and influence to do this without getting in trouble--was deleted from here.)
I want to build it into a business. I'm already writing a book. I may go into politics at some level, but not as a politician (it's been suggested many times by many people). Most likely as be a lobbying consultant.
To think, I did all that, and may I say, not in a shy way. No, oh no, not me...
I decided some time ago that I'm sure it's already on thousands of others, but here's one more.
"I DID IT MY WAY" is what will be on my tombstone. Sing it, Francis Albert...
(His own actually says "The best is yet to come.")
I actually sang "My Way" to a packed Karaoke bar in Paris on our honeymoon in 2001, and I didn't know the song at all then. The monitor I was getting my words from was directly above another newlywed couple--with their party of 60. I handed the microphone back and an old man rushed me and planted a kiss squarely on my lips. A kid ran up behind him and said "This is my grandfather. He's from Italia--we're all from Italia. He says you sound just like Sinatra." I didn't mention that I was hoping to do "New York, New York" (I have that one down cold since it came out in 1982) and that like Sinatra, I'm also from Jersey.
I just walked over to the table, amidst a standing ovation of 200 or so people, and took a bow.
It's in fact the number one song played at funerals, according to this:

M$For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he is naught to say the things he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows and did it MY WAY!

What branch of Asatru do you follow? I'm an Odinist myself.. which is who you just so happen to have in photo lol
One of the things that really stricks me with the song is the positivity of the lyrics. Most realize metal is dark , but few see the messages of heroism.
Misty morning, clouds in the sky
Without warning, the wizard walks by
Casting his shadow, weaving his spell
Funny clothes, tinkling bell
Never talking
Just keeps walking
Spreading his magic
Evil power disappears
Demons worry when the wizard is near
He turns tears into joy
Everyone's happy when the wizard walks by
Never talking
Just keeps walking
Spreading his magic
Sun is shining, clouds have gone by
All the people give a happy sigh
He has passed by, giving his sign
Left all the people feeling so fine
Never talking
Just keeps walking
Spreading his magic
I like your choice! Its a great story when you listen to the lyrics.
Outstanding answer.
Love it. How many times can I listen to that Ozzy song while surfing Mahalo? Apparently the answer is nine.
