What song should I sing for my boyfriend on Valentine's Day?

I'm looking for something not too cheesy or simple or OVERPLAYED, and I can play guitar or piano to accompany it.
Tip for best answer: M$0.50
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Jason Mraz - I'm Yours
Wow! How often is a singer better live than on the radio? This is great.

If you want something real cutesy, it's a duo but can be sung alone

It's difficult for someone who is not familiar with your relationship to tell you what song to sing for your boyfriend. My best advice is to think of a song that has significant meaning to your relationship or a song that shows how you feel towards your boyfriend in words.

Same here - you need to find out for yourself because only you know more about him.

You should sing:
Who? - Composed by: Jerome Kern - Lyrics by: Otto Harbach and Oscar Hammerstein II - From: "Sunny" - ©1925
An all time great which is not getting played or sung enough lately.

You can get a book with the words and music to this and other good choices here:
http://www.encoremusic.com/piano/1705257.html

roughly, they go:

Who stole my heart away,
Who makes me dream all day
Dreams I know will never come true,
Seems as though I’ll ever be blue-oo.
Who means my happiness
Who, would I answer yes
to, Well you oughta guess
Who-oo, who-oo, no one but you.

best version was sung by Carmen Lombardo through a megaphone.

The best pick will be: Grow Old With You from the movie, the Wedding Singer.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcqNHE8uEQ8

The message is simple, it has some humor in it, and the best part is you can easily learn to play this song because it's not so complex. :)

Here's the lyrics...

I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
Oh all I wanna do is grow old with you

I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you

I'll miss you
Kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold

Need you
Feed you
Even let ya hold the remote control

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed when you've had too much to drink
I could be the man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you

Two that I would recommend you give a try are "Perhaps Love", or "Annie's Song", both by John Denver. They are both easy to play and also easy to sing, and I think they are touching without being cheesy, but then again, I'm sorta old.

That so nice, singing for your boyfriend on Valentine's Day. I found this video song "Only You", I like this song, don't know if it's appropriate choice for you. Hope this helps.

If you want another way of greeting your BF on this special day, why not give Valentine's Day Poems or Funny Valentine's Day Pictures.

Good Luck and Happy Valentine's Day.

Serious:
"Down With the Ship" by Enter the Haggis, it sounds great with just voice and guitar. It is not overplayed. It is about caring for someone but does not talk about weddings (this was a consideration as I did not know how serious you are with your boyfriend.

Not so serious:
"Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga. If he has the right kind of humor, he may appreciate an ironic song and get a good giggle out of it. This really isn't a song to play for a real or healthy romance other than for ironic use.
