What should I eat while watching the SUPER BOWL!?

I'm only going to be watching the Super Bowl with a few other people, but I want there to be some interesting food options!  So far I plan on making homemade guacamole to go with some nachos.  But I don't know what else to have...

What are some other food options (simple or complex) that would be fun to have for the Super Bowl??  They can either be stuff to be made at home (links to recipes are appreciated) or something I can pick up from a restaurant or fast food place.

I can't wait to hear what you have in mind!  Thanks

Here, we're having baby backs, corn bread, beans and beer. Possibly chips and salad, too. I've had good luck in the past with the easy artichoke cheese dip I saw on the Control-Alt-Chicken podcast:

Control-Alt-Chicken Artichoke Dip

1 10-12 oz. can artichoke hearts, quartered

1 cup of Parmesan cheese

1 cup of mayonnaise

1 6-8 oz can of diced green relleno chiles

Mix these together in a pyrex dish and bake at 375 degrees
for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are bubbly and browning. Serve with
crackers.

Enjoy your party and the game!

Well, my answer's coming late--but if you havent gone shopping yet...
Since you're planning on nachos, you could do an entire Tex Mex spread--chili with corn bread, enchildas and burritos...all accompanied by margaritas.

A simple salad, with madarin oranges and red onion could round out your menu.

You could nuke a can of refried beans, and maybe a can of chile. I suggest cutting up half a head of iceberg lettuce. It goes great with avocado. Add some halves of small roma tomatoes. Some sour cream would be nice.

It's tough to go wrong with a good chicken wing... so this year, I'm going to make 3 different kinds. They're easy to prepare and can be done ahead of time.

I also like to get everything ready for people to make their own personal sized pizzas. I find that this works better for my group of picky & sickly friends than making a large one.

I just prepare and place all of the ingredients on the counter beside my oven and let people load up their own toppings. This also works well to keep any kids who might be present busy. The kids like to take orders and make the pizzas for everyone.

I hope this helps Eatthatpopcorn!

What about the great chicken wing shortage? It may be too late to get them.

Taco Bell or even White Castle would be a great way to spread the food around without much preparation.  It has that 'pre-game' feel to it too! If you're feeling more adventurous, stick with the guacomole and make a fabulous healthy yet hearty salsa with multi-grain large chips (like Tostitos brand, or even Lays Low Salt.)  Also, you would want to have some drinks. CVS has some large bottle drinks on sale for the Super bowl and you can use your Extracare card for savings! (you can sign up at the store and get started using it to your very purchase, just ask at the counter.)

Good luck and happy catering!

Well if you live in Texas or mostly East Texas there is a deal you cannot beat. The Jalapeno Tree here in Longview Texas is selling 2 pounds of chips, 1 pint of red salsa, 1 pint of queso, and 1 pint of green variant of hot sauce for 7.99. That is an awesome snack bowl. And have some beer too I would recommend something from the light to red beer catogory. But a fun time anyways indeed.

Newman's Salsa:
http://www.buythecase.net/uploads/products/200/2066200053.jpg

You will find it in the Mexican section of your grocery store--not in the chips aisle. I have gotten more people hooked on this salsa. It does not taste like it is from a jar. I like the pineapple, but I will use the medium salsa to make cheese dip. The medium is not very hot. They also have tequila lime, chunky peach, black bean and corn, and more.

It's very good, possibly addicting.

Pigs in a blanket are always good.

All you need:
2 cans of crescent rolls
1 package of Hillshire Farms Little Smokies
Yellow mustard

Preheat oven to the temperature listed on crescent roll package. Open the crescent roll dough and lay flat. Spread a layer of mustard on the dough. Cut each triangle of dough into 3 smaller triangles.

Roll the Little Smokies into the smaller triangles like you are making little crescent rolls. Place on cookie sheets about an inch apar. Cook for the amount of time listed on the crescent roll package.

Enjoy and watch all of them disappear! :o)

Not a "peanut butter" sandwich - salmonella problem. Eat some healthy finger food. carrot, celery, cucumber stick with some ranch sauce.
