Psychiatry is the study of the mind and usually requires a specialized medical degree. You will need Anatomy and Biology as you will need to understand the impact of the mind on all parts of the body. Additionally, a basic understanding of the human body is essential as you need to understand the neurological composition of the body to be effective as a psychiatrist. Of course Chemistry is essential to understand the biochemical interactions and how these impact the mind. Physic may also be required, especially biophysics. You will also need Mathematics up to Calculus and a Statistics course because you will need to know how to calculate the proper dosage of medicines to administer to patients depending upon their situation. Pharmacists usually do this, but psychiatrists are responsible for allocating the right amount of prescriptions.
