There is nothing that will make you get pregnant faster. On average, it takes a year of trying for a woman to get pregnant. As you have been trying now for a year and have irregular cycles, it is time to see a doctor. Your partner should also see a urologist to have a semen sample tested. Not having periods for this long and then having one is not normal at all and needs to be evaluated by your doctor. The most common cause is a hormonal imbalance. Other causes can include stress, weight changes, infection, polyps, cysts, hormonal and thyroid imbalance, certain medications, just to name a few. I would make an appointment with your doctor to have your hormone levels checked via blood test to see if this is due to a hormonal imbalance. A pelvic exam should also be done to rule out any physical abnormalities, and if you haven't had a pap in a while, this should also be done.
