"Until 18, basic intellectual study and physical training
Followed by 2 years of miltary training
Followed by ten years of mathematics
At 30, five years of dialectic
Followed by 15 years as leaders, trying to 'lead people from the cave' (note, this is figurative, not literal)
Upon reaching 50, they are fully aware of the form of the good and totally mature - ready to lead!"
It would appear to me that if this was the way people were educated and then became leaders it would have serious implications for the society governed by these people. 10 years of mathmatics! 2 years of military training! It would produce a group of people who thought they were well rounded but not actually that well rounded there doesn't seem to be any social sciences taught, how to deal with people from a cultural and posychological perspective is important in leadership.
