What parts of Mahalo Answers do you feel could be faster?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The profile page can take up to five seconds to completely, which is an eternity in WWW terms.
Even the basic Mahalo Answers page (http://www.mahalo.com/answers/) takes more than a second to load, which is still very long.
I think Mahalo should set a standard for itself similar to Google, to load each and every page within a second, and the majority of the pages within half a second or less.
When there was Page Management, I often noticed that the pages I managed had a lot of visitors who didn't even get to see the content of the page, because they already closed it before it got the chance to completely load.
Generally, you have about 5 seconds to impress a visitor. If the page-load takes up four seconds, you only have one second left to make an impression before he hits the 'back' button..
So, make sure ALL pages fall within your maximum load-time, and especially the pages you expect search-engine visitors to access. (the homepage, featured questions, often loaded pages etc).
Just my 2 ct...

M$The longest wait time is when I'm adding a penny to the pot and voting a question as interesting.
The box with the amount comes up fast, but the wait to even see the little wheel cranking to add the money can sometimes be 20 to 25 seconds long.
It just irks me sometimes when I'm going through and pushing up new users questions that I think are great... it seems to take forever.
*I use Safari and M-Firefox browsers - I update regularly and always brush my teeth before bed ;)

Hey @kaipowell,
I hope the page tests go OK. It would be nice to get some feedback from the tests. We used to hear quite a lot about what kept Mahalo staff busy, but information has gotten a bit scarce lately. Good to hear Page loading speeds are being looked into, I think it's a major winner for Mahalo if pages load faster (or at least with a predicable speed)
Thanks for the great feedback, mithrandir. Mahalo Pages is being worked on as well, I'll be sure and get this feedback to the Pages team. The main Answers page is definitely one of the pages we feel needs to be faster, it's good to hear that we're on the same page there.
