Yahoo Answers uber low quality, as I've found AskVille and most of wiki.Answers. Clearly it's relatively easy to start a knowledge exchange--keeping up quality seems to be the hard part.

I like AnswerBag best out of the three, in part because Yahoo has some rather draconian moderation and unresponsive customer "support", and because JustAnswers is a pay service. The latter is great though for an urgent question that you need a reliable answer for; I've had car trouble recently and they have a number of ASE certified mechanics online who've been able to answer my questions for a reasonable price.

That being said, I do like the fact that questions can be "starred" as interesting, and their number of active users is impressive. Depending on the topic, you can get a great number of answers very quickly. I have received some very helpful information via YA, and it does have its niche.
Another site that I use occasionally is Answerbag. I don't have any complaints about this site, per se, but I wouldn't really depend on it for serious knowledge-based questions. I've actually referred some AB users to Mahalo Answers because I've felt their questions could be better answered here. However, AB is great for asking conversational questions and quickly getting lots of people's opinions on things. I like the fact that you can rate questions, in addition to answers, and once you hit 'submit', your answer goes right through. It has a very laid-back, community, aspect to it that I enjoy. I really dislike the aesthetics of Answerbag. It looks very generic and boring. MA is definitely the most aesthetically pleasing question and answer site that I have ever used.

Good one! Any thoughts on the others. You can't say you've tried any of the others?
The only other one I've tried is Yahoo Answers. I go to that one only when I want a joke-ish question answered, like "who would win, a kickboxer or a jujitsu master?" Those questions get enormous response on yahoo answers.
The only site I have used is this one and Google.
If I can't find it on Google, I ask my wife and she looks for it ;)
Now that I have Mahalo Answers, I don't need to ask my wife anymore ;)

ChaCha. You sign up for it, and then can text to it. There are people at the other end that actually answer the question for you, so you can get better information than texting Google where a machine search isn't going to provide the necessary touch.

Not the ideal place for detailed questions, but I've used it a couple of times for a couple small ones, and the answers have been what I needed.
Here's an example of a question where, yeah, you could look it up on a phone with internet access, but a person sitting at a PC will be able to get it far more easily:

I have not tried Muchobene. Sometimes I wish someone would shut Yahoo Answers down, as the quality of answers have been very unprofessional at times or the site is just not user friendly. I hope this does not happen to Mahalo Answers. This is one example where a bigger community is not any better.
