What new car is better? The BMW 335i Convertible or the Lexus SC 430?

I would lean towards the Lexus from life experiences with these two companies. Between my personal driving experiences and friends that have owned both BMWs and Lexus's, the Lexus name wins out just slightly in my book.

M$You get what you pay for when you buy a Lexus, and that includes a service department that will be at your beck and call. Lexus parts are very expensive though, so that's another thing to consider.

And the Lexus specs:

What's stands out, for me, is that the BMW has more power (300hp) but less torque than the Lexus (only 300 vs. 317 from the Lexus). Good enought for 5.5 seconds, 0-60 for the BMW and 6 seconds to the Lexus.
So the BMW is a more powerful car, which accounts for a better driving experience and BMW is also known for build quality. The BMW also has better fuel millage.
I would recommend the BMW, for all said before, but mainly because it will be the car that better maintains its value, when used. Later on, if you want to sell your car, you'll get value from the BMW, because of the brand's prestige.
