What must Microsoft do to compete with the PS3's new M.A.G.?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

If MAG does end up being a success, then it pretty much opens up an entirely new genre of console gaming (MMOFPS) so there will be plenty of room for Microsoft to come up with something.

M$EA with DICE (the Battlefield people) would be a good choice. I'm not sure if it would be comparable with M.A.G. though. I have always found the Battlefield series very "Arcadey." I'm not sure if it would be tactical enough to campare with M.A.G. If you could coax Infinity Ward (The Call of Duty people) into making the game it may be interesting. I would also consider Ubisoft if they still exist. I really enjoyed the GRAW series and think with newer technology it could be a very good game.
hmm, I really like battlefield 2142. And it is pretty much the equivalent of MAG in that it included super large maps with slightly futuristic world. It also featured a command system similar to MAGs. I like call of Duty for it's shooter feature, but it is just that. They only have experience with small maps, no vehicles, and no team work. The extremes of the FPS genre.
who do you think the third party developer should be? I was considering Battlefield, as they have experience with games that support up to 64 people.
