1. Dirty Dancing starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey won an Oscar and other 8 wins and 5 nominations. The dance styles here is mambo with stage choreography
2. Dance With Me with Vanessa Williams and Chayanne. This is one of the only Hollywood films that features true ballroom competitors. It also has very realistic ballroom dancing. The story is about a Cuban immigrant salsa dancer who meets and trained a professional Latin competitor lady.
3. Shall We Dance with Jennifer Lopez, Richard Gere is a remake of a Japanese film of the same time. There are lots of ballroom dancing on this one. The story is about a bored overworked lawyer who signs up for ballroom dancing lessons.
