What movies have you walked out on?

You paid for your ticket, you sat down with every intention to stay, but it was just that awful.
Tip for best answer: M$4.55
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The first and only movie I have ever walked out on was the Will Ferrell version of Bewitched

I've never walked out of a movie because it was so bad. I typically screen my movies really well. But one I ALMOST walked out of was, "Passion of The Christ" just because I found it hard to see someone beaten - even in a movie - when it's that graphic.

Mel Gibson 's 10,000 BC, I thought this movie was going to be a hell of allot better.
Not to even mention the rediculous subtitles threwout the ENTIRE movie.

I've never been more disappointed in a movie.

Kind Regards,
@XDS

Good Question BTW =)

Hi @xds,
Actually the Mel Gibson movie was Apocalypto, not 10,000 BC. (It's easy to get confused these days when Hollywood makes carbon-copy movies at such a high rate of speed)

Agreed that 10k BC was horrid. I was ready to leave as soon as I realized it WASN'T a parody of something else.

I walked out from the movie "Barbershop". After watching it for only the first 2 minutes of it. But since I had payed the admission fee and watching movies is not free, I did the most reasonable thing anyone would do. I sneaked into another movie.

Actually, it turned out okay because the movie I sneaked into was great. It was about this guy (Ben Affleck) who got married to this woman (Jennifer Lopez) and had a daughter, but the woman died after giving birth. So he learns how to raise her on his own. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of it, since I never meant to watch it. :D

Good man, you snuck into a Kevin Smith movie.

@bunnyphuphu, and who could forget Carlin in the Bill & Ted films and the "lessons" he taught us in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back!

The movie you liked was Jersey Girl. I thought it was okay. I was glad to see George Carlin in it though... I miss him!

I love Vincent Price, but this has got to be the cheesiest movie ever. And there was no reason at all for it to be in 3-D.

The exorcist. A few years back they did a re-make of the 1973 original movie and added some very disturbing scenes. The movie theater was over sold. People were sitting on the stairs in the isles. the whole movie theater was plastered with posters of only this movie. It was as if everyone was possessed. The movie a had very demonic undertone and when Linda Blair came down the stairs as a spider (backwards) I didn't know how fast to get out of there.

I love a good scary movie, it's my favorite genre. But this went against every thing I believe in. It's like the devil was trying to take over.

When I was little my mom and dad took me to see Arachnophobia. We paid for the tickets and sat down and started watching it. I guess my mom knew it was about spiders but she must not have thought it would be that bad. When they got to the part where there were a lot of spiders, she took my hand and we walked out. My dad stayed to watch it because he wasn't letting his ticket go to waste. That was the only movie I ever walked out on and if it wasn't for my mom, I probably would have stayed. I don't remember how old I was but I guess I was old enough to get in to this kind of movie.

I'm Not There. I could not get into this movie. It was so boring. I mainly wanted to check it out because Heath Ledger had a part in the movie but I only made it to about halfway of this movie. My husband wanted to abandon it as well. It is one of only a very few movies that I couldn't finish.

I thought the performances from the actors were good but not enough to hold my attention. Kate Blanchett was absolutely amazing though.

I can totally understand the "Bewitched" walk out.

I have not yet to actually walk out...but the closest I came to was me and the hubby watched Ghost of Mars (John Carpenter). After a while, it just becomes "how bad can this really be?" ...and like watching a train wreck. You just can't help but watch it happen.

I managed a movie theatre for 14 years, so I've seen all kinds of bad movies...and Ghost of Mars was one of the absolute worst I have ever seen.

A cliched space horror that used loud noises and dissection to try and spook you. It is the one movie I bring up and everyone I talk to says "Oh yeah that was an awful movie."

I am a masochist then, I never walked out on movies but was tempted to do is during Water World with Kevin Costner (but I was too young) and AI but the friends I was with might have thought I was too rude.

The wife and I walk out of The Good Shepard.
We thought a spy movie with all that star power would be COOL!!!

WRONG.
Holy cripes, thank God we were at the Movie Tavern - the most interesting part (before we left) was going to the bathroom between pints!!

Have you ever heard of "American Cyborgs"? The worst movie you can ever imagine of. God knows why they named it like that. Just give a try and tell me.

Another one is the "Tailor from Panama".

Thanks.
