This is an exciting time to be a movie fan. This is an exciting time being a gamer. You put them both together, and what do you have…? Anyone? You? You? Sir? Mam?... Well, it’s super exciting!
With the movie world being lost to recycled scripts and terrible sequels. There are very few things that still bring originality to the table and video games just happen to be one. Outside of some musicians, there isn’t much individuality out there. There is too much of the mindset, of, “If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.” Which I agree with, but what about the idea of building something new?
Today’s game creators are doing exactly that. They’re coming with great story lines, great writing and as odd as it sounds, great acting. Video games are now a place for stars to go, writers to go original, and advertising to flourish. IT is the next true entertainment medium, and I like the idea of these stories becoming full-fledged feature films. Sure, we’ll see flops and silliness, but with the thought of an original production on many horizons, I can’t wait to hit the movie house for some good old fashioned, new fun.
