All primates are mammals. This means that they share some characteristics with other mammals. These characteristics include having hair to insulate the body, a hard palate for chewing food, the ability to move in different ways, similar growth development spread out over time and the ability to adapt to the environment by changing their behavior. Primates have some characteristics that developed which made them different from other mammals. They developed a shorted snout because they do not need to rely on their sense of smell as much. They have different types of teeth including incisors, canines, molars and premolars which allow them to eat a variety of food. Primates have eyes that face the front because they rely on their sight. They also have stereoscopic vision which means that the vision from each eye overlaps.
