What makes your favorite song so special to you?

I like my favorite songs because The combination of the music and lyrics, can sometimes reach right into my heart and really pull me, and also make me feel like the song was written specifically for me. I actually have songs for different moods, but they are all still special because of the way they reach my heart and calm or elevate my spirit whenever I listen to them. What is it about your favorite song that makes it so special to you?

I have a few favorite songs actually. The first one and probably my most favorite song of them all would have to be I Hope You Dance, which was created and also preformed by Lee Ann Womack. I love this song as my mother actually dedicated this song to me after a rough patch in my life. So when I listen to this song it is just a nice reminder of how much my mother loves me, and cares about me and no matter what she is here for me. Thanks for the awesome question, I look forward to seeing all of the other responses. I will definately keep a watch and see!

My favorite song is In The Arms Of The Angel by Sarah McLachlan and Josh Groban. When I hear this song in the commercial with the abused animals I literally bawl my eyes out and I need to turn the channel quick. I love dogs so much that the commercial and song puts me over the edge. However when I listen to the song alone, and listen to the words I find peace, comfort and serenity. Her voice is simply breathtaking and in this version with Josh, the two of them melt my heart. This song gives me chills. Josh Groban is an absolutely amazing singer as well. The two of them together are seriously like angels. I would love to hear more songs from the two of them!
