What makes Mahalo Answers better than Yahoo! Answers?

Or is it?

Are they better for different uses?
Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

There's a lot of stupid questions on YA, and a lot of stupid responses - and way too many smart ass responses. And obviously, you can earn money on Mahalo, which you can't do on YA. Plus you can include videos and photos on Mahalo, and you can't do that on YA. And the biggest reason is because YA banned me for linking to Mahalo! :)

In addition to what was said above (incentive against "Dine-n-dashing" and a better ranking system), two of the best things I've found with Mahalo Answers are the Mahalo employees and the Mahalo community (yeah, yeah, I know my nose is brown).

What I like most about the Mahalo employees is that they clean up people's spelling and grammar in questions, so, unless the question is completely indecipherable, most people will be able to understand the question so as to provide a better answer.

As far as the community is concerned, with few exceptions, people are polite and helpful even when people have different opinions on something. That kind of amicability is virtually unknown on Yahoo! Answers.

3 reasons WHY MAHALO IS BETTER THAN YAHOO.
1 Theres a ranking system
2 There is a wider based range of questions
And finally Yahoo is only good for E-mails

Good God, it's got even worse than when I last looked there, and that was just a few months before the election.

Outsourcing to the masses is nothing new–Google tried something similar with Google Answers. But it didn’t quite work.

What is different about Mahalo answers? For one thing, the question-askers are ranked on whether or not they actually pay out, so users can’t just ask a tough question, get a ton of answers, and then “dine ‘n’ dash,” so to speak.

This tipping procedure will make it so the top answers are ranked according to how the well the questioner thought it was answered, unlike Yahoo Answers, which simply shows the latest answer.

as far as mahalo or for any business "Competition is the key to success in any business" so good to have competitors.

I disagree. As much as I love Mahalo, it often feels clunky; whereas Yahoo Answers is faster and more reliable.
