Right now the highest profile sports team is the Indianapolis Colts, having one one super bowl victory out of two appearances in the last few years. They recently built a new stadium, Lucas Oil Stadium and tore down the old RCA Dome. The city of Indianapolis will host the 2012 Super Bowl and preparations are already underway.
The Indiana Pacers are based here in Indianapolis, and they play downtown at Conseco Fieldhouse. Indianapolis is also the headquarters for NCAA College Basketball, and hosts the finals every four years, with last year (2010) being the last year hosted.
