What laptops made in 2009 and 2010 have INTEGRATED Infrared or enhanced Ir support ?

My place of work has implemented some kind of crazy line of sight policy is doing away with wireless and is now making it a requirement (stupid i know) that any laptop or smartphone we bring into the home offices now must have infrared and expandable storage support.

Can you list some laptops made in 2009 or more prefribly 2010 that have integrated Ir or enhanced integrated Ir support ?

mahalo please help me out!
Tip for best answer: M$3.80
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I am assuming that the phrasing of the question is incorrect, that you don't want integrated support, but your question is more accurately, "Can you list some laptops made in 2009 or more preferably 2010 that have or support integrated Ir or enhanced integrated Ir ?"

Take your pick:

Asus G51JX-3DE Laptop With Integrated IR Transmitter for 3D Vision

Lenovo ThinkPad Z60m, Z60t Notebook

Surely there are plenty more.

Excuse you.

I was having a great day until you invited me to take a poke at you..

This reminds me of the time I was in a 24-hour computer lab in college--it had to be 1990 or so--and these two guys were playing a game of some sort over the internet. No www, just text, perhaps like "Zork."

In any event, I was trying to type a paper I had due and the game got louder and louder--or I should say one of its players got louder and louder.

A kid shot out of his seat, turned around and screamed something like this across the room: "No way, man, you stole my magma slime!" One would think the kid had just had one of his kidneys pulled out right there in the middle of the room..

I really couldn't think of any other way to shut the kid up than to say "If you sit the f**k down and shut the f**k up, I'll buy you some f**king magma slime."

(And yes, thank you, I know the chosen language very well. I have been a writer, editor and/or publisher in some capacity for almost 25 years. You, however, better double-check how you spelled the language. Dollars to donuts it's English with a capital "E," for God's sake. I could not find "speek" in a dictionary. I did, however, find it in the title to an article: "Lurn To Speek English, Morans!" Even they got the "E" correct.)

I apologize the answer wasn't perfect. I'm not the most tech proficient...but I know that you can very easily solve your problem with a USB IR thing for the computer you have. Look around my recent Answers and you'll see it.

Post it here? I already found your magma slime once.

I must apologize my comments where a little harsh and your answer was actually slightly helpful.

I'd like to add to this list the following three possibilities in order of usefulness.

- Lifebook E780
Has a multitude of options but looks like it was discontinued, the infrared option seems to be a option sacrificing the RJ11 modem.
This system has a i5 processor.
Data sheet is available here.

Unfortunately this system was never sold in the US but i would bet it has a US sister.

- Acer Travelmate 6492-812g25mn ( 6492 812g25mn )
Looks like a good travel machine with a 14'1'' display.

- HP Compaq nc6400
