What kinds of questions would I ask to help Mahalo make money? In what topic areas?
According to Jason Calacanis, only "a VERY small number of pages made a lot of money (think a couple of dozen coupon pages and how to pages) and 99% of pages made very little. that is the nature of search-driven and adsense driven sites.... a small number of pages make a lot, most make a little. "
Is this the nature of the business? I've heard only 1 in 100 inventions makes it big in the marketplace;
It could be that only 1 in 100 people are "super productive" in our society. These are the geniuses, the innovators, the inventors. Are the chances of success only around 1%?
What kinds of questions in what topic areas would increase the chances of success for Mahalo to even 2%?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Well I've seen one main topic that brings in a lot which would be coupons. Everyone wants coupons, and people often click on the adds to get the good deals. Most coupons pages, that are updated often, do pretty good. I think to increase the percent they need to make new pages when new products come out. Also, they could focus on recent topics, like sports. If someone maintained a page on the world cup, with updates, that would be a big hit. It is important to keep the pages updated, and recent, with stuff people care about. Also, they would save money by having people not write about the useless the stuff that noboby reads because they will lose money on those for example http://www.mahalo.com/how-to-fist-bump, everyone knows how to, I thought it would be a popular page when I wrote it, but turns out it wasn't.

I think Mahalo wants to be a site where people can go to, to ask any question, find information, and get a personalized response. It does seem Mahalo is now known for its information on how to find money saving coupons. Can the income from this support the rest of the site?
I think it would be hard for that amount to support the rest of the site, I however don't know how much that is. Also, not being able to cash out less people may be buying mahalo dollars. I think if we stick with good, quality questions mahalo will improve overall.
