Hi and thanks for your question. Hamsters are one of the lucky little pets that do not need a visit to the veterinarian to get their shots. Since a hamsters lifespan is only about two to three years they do not require any shots at all.
Hamsters come in many different varieties such as Dwarf hamsters, Chinese hamsters and Syrian hamsters which tend to have longer hair than the others and have the nickname of " Teddy Bear Hamsters"
Hamsters also require attention as if you ignore them they are likely to be quite unhappy when you pick them up and will likely nibble at your fingers. They also require a good diet of fruits as well as their pellet food for a happy healthy life. Make sure to provide plenty of water for the little one as well.
