Tony Caputo's Market and Deli is a family run business by Tony Caputo and his son, Matt, in Salt Lake City. Caputo's opened in 1997 and has become a favorite of Salt Lake City residents. Caputo's has won a number of awards and accolades for their delicious sandwiches including being named as having the third best sandwich in the country. He has a cheese cave at his store for perfectly aging his cheese fares and has the largest premium chocolate selection in the country.
The signature sandwich is the "Caputo." The sandwich consists of prosciutto, mortadella, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomato, olive oil & balsamic vinegar.
The sandwich menu at Caputo's is extensive with offerings available to satisfy most tastes. They have a New Orleans style muffaletta, a poached salmon sandwich, the cheese lovers as well as a number of cheese and tomato sandwiches with herbs, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
Not only does Caputo's offer some of the best sandwiches in the country, classes are offered to better acquaint the public to the variety of cheeses and meats that he uses for his prize winning sandwiches.
