what kind of moon did we have August 21, 2009

Tip for best answer: M$0.50
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

New moon for August 2009 was on the 20th. This is one day after the new moon. In Hawaiian, I believe it would be considered Hoaka, which means "faint light" and is the second sacred or Kapu night for God Ku.

Incidentally, this would be my name in Hawaiian. Hsi in Chinese also means "faint light." However, you cannot call me "Hsi," which sounds like "she" because I am a "he"
