Idaho is a good ski destination in winter. Sun Valley ski resort is all-time favorite classic ski destination has been the training ground of professional athletes.

Boise, Idaho has terrific outdoor activities for families no matter what the season. In the spring and summer you will find Boise residents out on the Boise River or Snake River swimming, white water rafting, floating the river on a tube, kayaking or fishing. The Boise River Greenbelt is almost 25 miles of pathways that run along both sides of the river; you will walkers, joggers and bikers throughout the year. There are 12 parks connected to the greenbelt and bridges to get from one side of the river to the other. There is also a water park just outside the city.

In the winter time a family can enjoy skiing, sledding, cross country skiing, snow mobiling and sleigh rides. Of course Boise is also known for its hunting, hiking and camping. There are so many outdoor activities in Boise; you almost have to be a resident to enjoy them!
