As a correctional officer it is very important to wear a pair of good looking boots. If you want some gooood boots that will be comfortable from start to finish, buy yourself a pair of Cabelas tactical boots. If you're going to be on your feet all the day, these are the ones. I have had mine for 3 years now and they are just as comfortable as new. They will hold up for a long time.
In general, a few other brands you can consider the Marauders, mostly for looks. But, the Machs are super comfortable.
