What is your solution to cleaning up the oil spill?

I've heard theories of ways to clean up the Macondo oil spill ranging from burning it, autonomous robot submarines, oil eating bacteria and the standard approach of using floating buoys to contain it.

What method would you suggest?

Put a bounty on the spill_$100 per barrel of crude oil delivered to collection points. This is cheaper than we pay for Middle Eastern crude oil delivered and will create a whole new industry_Crude Oil Collection. This will generate enormous economic activity while scouring the environment of this messy menace. There is a catastrophic amount of crude projected to be pumped into the Gulf and beyond which still has commercial appeal but poses an enormous threat to the livelihoods in the area if not cleaned up, literally, by organized hands.

Cleaning up and oil spill:
If the oil spill is on a driveway or cement, take dirt from a place you do not need it in your yard, or just purchase dirt. Cover the oil spill with it completely. Let it sit for 2 days. Then shovel the dirt off. The oil spill will be gone completely.

We tried this personally. My husband had spilled an entire bottle on our driveway last summer, and afterwards, there was no sign of the oil. It worked beautifully!

ah no. I was referring to the one in the news caused by the oil rig explosion. But good advice otherwise :)
