Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I dont make resolutions... They never make it past Jan 15!!!! So, this year, I am making some goals. Goals I feel are more attainable, and can be changed as the situation changes. Makes sense, right?

Ok, So my goals are as follows:

I am attending school online to get my AOS in Accounting. I want to complete 2 semesters. I think I can do it. I hope I can! It would be great. I need to buckle down, and get it going.

I want to attract more people to my blog, and gain some more followers. I have a small goal of attracting just 200 more followers this year... Thats a pretty small goal I think. I currently have 40 some followers on my blog. I if I can get to 240 by the end of the year, I will be super ecstatic!

Another goal regarding my blog, is to write more! I don't feel like I write enough, so I want to try to write more.

More for my blog: I am opening advertising to outsiders on my blog. I want to attract more revenue from my blog. I know there are bloggers who are moms, who make 5 figures from their blogs. I know I wont make that this yea, But I can try for a few hundred. I also plan on keeping track of every penny from the blog --- whether its a gift card I won for a post, or whether its something free to review. I want to keep track of everything and put a dollar amount on it at the end of the year.

I feel these are attainable goals. Resolutions are so..... resolute! So Solid. However, a goal, like I said, can be changed in time to suit how things are going. If I make 200 more followers by July, I can change my goal to 400 by the end of the year... It sounds so much better to be able to change as needed....

That's true, they never last. Every year at new years the gym is packed because of people's resolutions. By the end of January it's back to normal :).

I generally don't make resolutions either because I know I always break them, or forget about them.
So my goal this year is to run 365 miles in 365 days. Something doable, catchy, and something I hopefully won't forget. If I miss a few weeks I can catch up with extra work. By having an actual, solid, doable numerical goal, it's easier to track progress than say, "be more (blank)" (no offense of course), but how can you measure that you've actually accomplished your goal or resolution? What says you're really more outgoing?

I actually had 2 resolutions but I've already forgotten the other one. Clearly it wasn't a very good resolution if I've already forgotten so I'm not going to worry about it.

Other, more minor goals, include eating better (I'm a terrible junk food addict and binge eater... correcting this will hopefully lead to losing weight), procrastinating less, and working harder.

I'm also taking a bit of time off to figure out what I actually want from life, because right now I'm not completely happy with where my career and such are headed. I didn't consider my career choice as seriously as I should. I worried more about salary and job availability rather than what I actually want to do and what makes me happy, so I'm taking time to sort out what my goals actually are and what I have to do to be happy with my choices.
