what is your most Cherished memory of Christmas?

Tip for best answer: M$4.26
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

My most Cherished memory of Christmas happened in 2009 when I found out that my father's cancer went into remission.

I remember when my daughter was 3 and the first year she really understood "Santa Claus". She was so excited, she just jumped from one toy to another screaming "Look! Look Mommy! Look what Santa brought!" We were so poor, but we had worked really hard to get her some nice things, just a few, and it was all worth while.

My most cherished memory is spending Christmas Eve with my family. My Grandfather would pass out gifts to everyone, and we would have a huge party laugh, and have great food! Then my immediate family would go home have hot coco, and get ready for Santa Claus to come!

I have a lot of great memories from Christmas. When I was younger, we had lots of fun traditions, and even some that things we still do today. On Christmas eve my family would go on a "family light ride" where we would drive around to see the holiday lights. I remember one house where someone had build a huge display that would change between a giant snowman, Santa, and a tree. On Christmas day we would always go see a movie in the afternoon even though I would sometimes rather play with my new toys all day. Since we have a fake Christmas tree that we put together each year, we now have a list of who gets to put the top on and the angel each year. When we take the tree down, we also have to pick up all the plastic that fell off. In addition, I love making Christmas cookies. We make the same ones each year plus more. Don't forget to leave some cookies out for Santa when he comes by.

I was 19 and survived a head-on collision 6 days before Christmas. Pronounced dead en route to the hospital....evidently found my way back! Being released from the hospital in time to spend Christmas at home. Put everything in perspective.

My most Cherished memory of Christmas would have to be, The birth of my son two days before Christmas day. There was a funny Santa that came to hospital room, and gave me a little gift basket. I was in the hospital on Christmas day, but it was the best Christmas I've ever had!
