I think he's like any other CEO who waked into an office that was already going full strength, and he tried to straighten out some of the mistakes the last boss made.
Unfortunately, though, he's had one crisis after another, not to mention staff changes.
I wouldn't mind being in politics--I worked just 3 blocks from The White House for over 6 years and on nice days, I used to sit and look across the now-closed 1600 block of Pennsylvania Ave. NW. while I had lunch on a bench in Lafayette Park. Almost everyone lives and breathes politics there--even the restaurant owners. There are a lot of politicians, retired politicians and news people walking around that area.
All in all, I think the man is doing the best he can with what he's been dealt. He did make a good point the other day, saying that he's not paid to scream and yell. But I did like the comeback a few days later about how he's going to figure out whose ass to kick.
I found this photo some time ago--i think it was during the '08 campaign--he looks cool as a cucumber.
I sure as hell wouldn't want his job right now. I already hardly sleep as it is.
