What is your favorite Tiger Woods moment of all time?
My favorite was when he won the 1997 Masters and dropped the collective jaw of the golf and sports world.

De Marco did eventually force a play-off, but Woods closed the tournament out the following day.
As for the shot itself, can any words really do it justice?

M$While I like Tiger Woods, I am absolutely sure you are not alone in feeling that his best moment was the recent downfall of his career and personal life.
Personal and private relationships aside.. I would imagine there is also more than one golfer on the PGA Tour that will be happy Tiger Woods is not able (or unwilling) to compete professionally any longer.. there is now at least one open spot at the top of the pack.

"Eighteen holes of playoffs concluded with the golfers still tied before Woods won on the first sudden-death hole. Most remarkable is that Woods struggled through the event, especially the fourth round and playoff, with a torn ACL in his left knee and a double stress fracture in his leg. During and after shots, Woods grimaced in pain and had trouble walking the course."

M$Another excellent choice!!
Wasn't this the the absolute best when in the end we learned that Tiger Woods was playing with a broken leg? That must have made the rest of the professional golfers feel completely beaten as they could not defeat Tiger even though he was seriously injured!
"It's not what It's not what you achieve in life that matters, it's what you overcome" that was an impressive set of obstacles to overcome! If he can overcome the obstacles presented to him at the 2008 U.S. Open then he might have what it takes to overcome the personal struggles he is faced with now.
What is important is to rise every time we fall!!!
The latest I remember is his apology for his irresponsible affairs with women out of marriage

M$Now that his images has been tarnished, I guess the best moment that could happen will be a great comeback moment for him. For me, if that'll ever happen, that would be the greatest moment EVER. Maybe he'd fix his family first... do things that he must do and win another championship, get endorsements again from different companies, retrieve everything he lost. And lastly, gain the trust of the peole he cares for as well as his fans all over the world.
I'm looking forward for that moment... that would be a lot inspiring for the people who stumbled once and learned to stand up and patch things he had broken. I don't hate him for the mistakes he did. He's only human after all. We all have our own shares of mistakes in life that we regret. Let's give the person a chance.

M$Great points. It is very true that addicts rarely recover and nearly all of them relapse in the process of addiction recovery. Relapse is part of the recovery for many addicts... one more time into the wind...the lucky ones make it back into a recovery program that works for them.
I like Tiger Woods so I hope he is one of the few that succeed in recovery but if he does not ... you are so correct... hang on to your seat we are in for one heck of a gossip column, tabloid rag mess of a media roller coaster of a ride.

M$Agreed, I was barely aware of professional golf until Tiger Woods won the 1997 Masters. That very year I tried playing golf for the very first time so I can honestly say that it was through the interest that Tiger brought to the game that I was willing and ready to try something new.. still not very good but I do love to play.

One of my absolute favorites as well. I stood up and cheered when this happened..I especially loved how the Nike Swoosh logo was ever so slowly featured as the ball dropped.. at this point in the career of Tiger Woods I felt he had done trick with the logo on purpose.. like not only will I get the ball in the whole but I will feature my sponsors logo as I do it.. in slow motion. Top quality.
I can still see that moment in my head!!
Hands down, that's my fave moment too - and when he became my hero.
BTW guys - if yall are ever in Dallas, holler at me and we'll go play.
There's some goregous courses out here like the Colonial, the Byron Nelson at the Four Seasons and Valley Ranch (Dallas Cowboys GC).
