What is your favorite thanksgiving football memory of all time?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

As a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan, I'd have to say the Eagles shutting out Dallas 27-0 on November 23, 1989. The Cowboys were in the first season as Jimmy Johnson as head coach. The game was known as the "Bounty Bowl" as Dallas claimed Buddy Ryan put a bounty on former Eagles' and then Cowboys kicker Luis Zendejas, who was knocked out of the game by Eagles' linebacker Jessie Small.

My favorite thanksgiving football memories aren't of any particular game, but of my family. Specifically, my grandfather (who has since passed away). We would all enjoy a delightfully indulgent meal and while we were waiting for things to settle so we could cram in some delicious deserts, my grandfather would turn on the TV to "watch" a football game. He never made it longer than a few minutes before he was fast asleep sitting in his chair with his head tilted back and his mouth hanging wide open. Everyone would always get a good chuckle out of it every year, but somehow he would always wake up as soon as deserts were served. We just to joke that he could hear the cutting of the pumpkin pie. These memories are my favorite and we still turn on the TV to "watch" the Thanksgiving Day football games.
