What is your favorite rice recipe for dinner?

I have a rice cooker with a steaming tray, so I can toss meat or vegies into the steam tray over the rice & let them cook together. I often do this with carrots, mushrooms, and greens. After it is done I chop up the veggies and stir them into te rice. I have a small meat dish as a side and it makes for a very easy fantastic dinner.

When we have leftovers I chop up the meat toss it into a wok with the rice and make pork or chicken fried rice.

I like ham, scrambled egg, Soy Sauce - kikoman, fried rice, peas, diced carrots combined and fried.

My favorite recipe is Egg Fried Rice.

Ingredients:
Boiled long grain brown rice, refrigerated or cooled after boiling. This is necessary to avoid the rice being sticky during frying.

2 eggs
2 tsp of vegetable oil
2 tsp of olive oil (any oil of your choice)
4-5 spring onions finely chopped
2 sticks of fresh carrot finely grated or shredded
100g/4oz of bean sprouts (optional)
100-200g of defrosted peas
1/4 of bacon,1/4 of ham finely chopped
1/2 lb of prawns (optional)
1-3 tsp soy sauce or any sauce of your choice
Ground white or black pepper and salt

Add the oil to a frying pan and allow to heat. Beat the 2 eggs, pour into the frying pan and stir gently. Add the rice, spring onions, grated carrots, defrosted peas, ham, bacon and prawns, and continue to mix until the rice and other ingredients have been fully blended. Add the soy sauce, salt and pepper, and any other seasonings of your choice, and continue to mix until they become a brownish color.

My quick recipe is to Cook the rice. Chop one or two onions. Heat a pan with oil. Add the onions and fry for 3 /4 minutes. Get some frozen mixed veggies. Add to the onion. Add 2 spoons of water and put on lid. Simmer for a few minutes to make the veggies thawed and heated through. Add some salt and garlic powder, Stir. Add 2/3 drops of sesame oil. Mix with the cooked rice and serve.
Good by itself.
