The teams vary from the usual dating/young married couples, to grandparents, to "family varietal" teams (brothers; a parent and child; sisters; cousins), to best friends. There is usually something unusual about several of the teams. This season, there are brothers who are stunt doubles for children because they're very short; there's a mom/son team where the son is deaf; a pair of former NFL cheerleaders, among others. There've been past teams where one team member had an artificial leg; a Goth team; a geek team; a couple of modeling teams. My very favorite team was the Hippies. One was from Harvard and one from Stanford; best friends, good athletes, and very fun to watch them psych competitors out while coming across as fruitloops in several languages. And in orange horizontal-weave cordoroys.
