King Kong.
He has everything a monster should have.
1. A great name. Go ahead and try this monster name generator. See if you will ever come up with a better name than King Kong. I tried it, I got "Handglove lurker" and "Fenfang". Please.

2. He's scary. Admit it, you were scared for the girl, you thought Kong might kill her.

3. He's misunderstood.
4. At the end, he gets the girl.
5. He's timeless. In 1933 he scared everyone and everyone loved him. In 1993, 60 years later, same thing.

M$If I said horror what would you have picked?
Movies with monsters.
Examples of non-horror monster movies
1) any Godzilla movie where he is a good guy
2) Monsters Inc.
3) Mothra movies
4) Monsters vs Aliens
I'm a fan of horror movies although I shout most of the time on some scenes, lol. But one thing I'm really scared of is Chucky.
After watching a Chucky movie years back (when I was younger), I cannot sleep with my dolls anymore! I forgot which movie is it... there are many Chucky movies then.
There... I updated my answer... ^^
The basic story begins in the Antartica showing a helicopter chasing a dog and the people on the helicopter trying to kill the dog. The helicopter gets accidentally blown up, and there's a language barrier, so no one understands anyone and the dog was rescued. They also found evidence of a UFO and remains of an alien which adds to the mystery. The dog is taken in and housed with all of the other sled dogs, and immediately the viewer could sense how the other dogs were not liking this new stray. That night this new dog alien kills all of the other dogs and takes the shape of one of the dogs he kills. That's the way the alien proliferates on the planet Earth. He can imitate other lifeforms and takes over the image of whatever he kills. One by one he starts killing humans and of course all of the real humans start getting paranoid because no one really knows for sure who is alien and who is a human. One of the heroes played by Wilford Brimley figures out the statistics and how easily these aliens could take over the world. The only defense against the alien is fire, and the ending is pretty exciting and really makes you think. All of the final survivors are sitting around, the camera fans out for a view of all the men, and they are all left just wondering if the alien is still among them.
This 1982 movie was a redo of the original black and white movie of 1951.

I like both. I especially like that the remake was about a 1933 film crew making a movie about a giant ape. nice touch.
Nice! The classic or the remake? Or did you enjoy both?
