What is your favorite manga? Why?

Naruto? Inuyasha? Fruits Basket? How about Kare Kano or Tale of the Moon?
What do you like?
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

My favorite manga and anime of all time is ROBOTECH. I discovered the anime first but when a friend of mine got the manga I was really into it. In a really close second place comes MAZINGER Z. I even had the little mazinger toy with the flying punch! Ah, those were good times!

My favorite Manga is the Manga guide to statistics and the Manga Bible.
We bought both of these and my 10 year old read them cover to cover.
Not only did he read them but he really picked up alot of the concepts
in the statistics book.
My hubby even said there were things in the Manga guide to Statistics
that were interesting and he uses statistics in his job almost every
day.
There are also Manga guides to other subjects like database management
and calculus but I think those are coming out this spring.
Highly recommended!

I used to like Naruto, which is basically DragonBall Z with ninjas. Once I found one too many loopholes in the storyline I stopped reading.

My fave. manga/anime is Ranma 1/2. I like is because compared to others its... more realistic. Of course... being a manga/anime.. its not at all realistic xD. But compared with new...more modern ones (btw Ranma is a pretty old anime)..it is :) You should watch it. You can watch all the episodes one by one of youtube. Its a great anime. It was written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi. He's the same writer/illustrator who wrote Inuyasha (another one of my fave. animes). But like i said. Ranma is far more realistic :)

Eden.

Telling the story of Earth after a pandemic and the toppling of the UN, "Eden" has both captivating dialogue and striking artwork while addressing the deeper nature of humanity.

Description from Baka-Updates: "In the panic surrounding a worldwide pandemic which kills 15 percent of the population and cripples many more, a secret organization, the Propater, topples the UN and seizes control of much of the world. A boy and a girl, raised in an abandoned virology research center, immune to the virus, are attacked by the Propater and escape. 20 years later the boy is the most powerful drug lord in South America. He aids his son from behind the scenes as he evades and eventually with the help of mercenaries from Nomad (some of them former Propater operatives) fights the Propater. As the plot develops focus shifts away from the main character and develops many sub-plots dedicated to terrorism, Human-improvement, the struggle of the developing countries and the power battles between the drug cartels and Propater."

I like Naruto and Bleach. Both have good story and well detailed characters. Also long series.
