My favorite Irish group is far and away Flogging Molly, followed by Dropkick Murphys in a distant second. One of the things I like about Flogging Molly is the way they combine traditional Irish folk instruments combined with electric guitar and drums. In my opinion their best songs are those that start slow and traditional, almost bare, and then build to a more punk rock ending. It is a beautiful and perfect combination of two types of music that should have been done a long time ago. "If I Ever Leave This World Alive" is their best song in my opinion, and has been used in TV and movies for soundtrack music. To be honest, it is not their most popular song, as "Devil's Dance Floor" holds that honor, but I will not be persuaded in any way that Devils Dance Floor is better than "If I Ever Leave This World Alive"
