What is YOUR favorite Halloween candy?

Do you buy your favorite Halloween candy to hand out to kids Trick-Or-Treating? Or...... Do you believe that is not a good idea because there is a chance there will be none left by Halloween? Do you instead purchase something crappy tasting, so you will leave it alone?

Reese's Peanut Butter Cup's, although, not a 'trick-or-treat' friendly candy, Sam's Club mini-peanut butter cups are super smooth and creamy. (yes, the wal-mart brand)

not enough peanut butter to counter the super sweet chocolate, but still a decent candybar

I'll just thumbs up yours because this is my favorite too. And I like the Sam's ones also. I like the varieties too like the white chocolate and the dark chocolate. I didn't care much for the caramel one though even though I love caramel.

Unfortunately, they come in the little fold over bag and are not individually wrapped, making Sam's brand not so halloween friendly. Unless you just give 'em out by the bag. They are 2 bucks and some change per bag.

When I was a kid, I always liked those Nik-L-nip candy wax bottles.
Those things were so weird, but I loved sucking and chewing on that wax. Oh... memories.

Oh my word, I remember those. I think the ones I had were like sealed straws, waxy outside and then juice in the middle.I imagine it was easier to just get a glass of juice from the frig. Ahhhhhh back in the day when the smallest things were so exciting, lol!

Lemonheads! I know they're common place in the US, but here in Canada they can only be found around Halloween time, and then only in tiny bags at Walmart. I always buy one or two (ok, ten) bags of them, and I eat them all.
Because living in an apartment, we can't hand out candy. The building company takes care of it for us!
I used to be able to find them in specialty candy stores, but now they seem to be gone even from there.
It's a lot of waste to go through a bag of 40 mini-bags with 7 or 8 in each bag, but they're worth it!
Unfortunately, they're also only available with half Lemonheads and half Atomic Fireballs and Red Hots, so I end up giving away a LOT of cinnamon candy I don't like.
And orangeheads, grapeheads, etc are still unfindable.

Last time I was in the States I brought back about 12 boxes of them from Walmart. Not nearly enough!

I DO have quite the addiction, but at this point, I'll have far more than enough to last me into the next year (I hope). Nice to know I have someone to call on for my next fix, though! ;)

Haha---I actually stopped giving out candy, because I felt bad if I gave them only 1 piece, but then I always end up runnin gout when I pass out more, and don't want to buy that much, in case I have left overs....because I know that means me sitting on the couch in my gooey mess of sugar and chocolate haha

This year I'm passing out rice krispie treats!! Buying the big box at Costco!!! Thought it was neat...who doesn't like those!!!!! Plus...oops if I buy too many---I'll take those over candy anyday!!!!

mmmmmm I may have to go make some home-made ones now.....since I conveniently have everything I need at home.........................Thanks a lot Gina!! lol

You know... since I started following you... I have decided... one day... I'm going to find where you live, sneak in your house...

AND COMPLETELY RAID YOUR FRIDGE!

You must have a veritable plethora of goodies stocked up in your fridge. And the way you have solutions for any dessert! MMMmmm... just remember! I like cheesecake.

(thinks for a moment)
...your probably gonna lace a special cheesecake with sedative now and keep it just in case, aren't ya?

...grumble monkeys...

(I am of course kidding)

I used to be addicted to Snickers as a kid. I even loved the Snickers ice cream bars (are those still around?) Those were absolutely delicious on a summer day! I remember as a kid coming home with bags full of Snickers, Mounds, Reese’s, Kit Kats, etc. We had neighbors who would give cans of soda as well, which I always bypassed - never liked soda. But the neighborhood kids would hit them first on the way out and back on the way back. We bypassed the dentist neighbors who handed out toothbrushes (I’m sure that was their plan, looking back on it now). I’m surprised that I lived and didn’t suffer through some sort of sugar coma! Funny that I don’t even like sugary treats now, but if a Snickers was offered to me, I sure wouldn’t decline!

Gotta buy the good stuff. There is always candy left over. My favorite are the mini Snickers bars. It's ok because I do a cleanse twice a year and the second one starts November 1 and ends with Thanksgiving dinner. No C's during the cleanse - cookies, cake, candy, ice cream, etc. That way I eat only on Halloween night and then everything has to wait for three weeks. By that time someone else has eaten it:)
