for someone like me who is often busy and does not have the time to open ever mail. It immediately tells me I have unread mail.

M$I also love the Diigo extension because it allows me to bookmark webpages and add stick notes and highlight to text that I find important. I also did a tutorial for this which can be found at the Diigo extension download page.

Totally agree with you - gmail checker is wonderful.
I also use the Google Voice, FB and twitter indicators too.
