What is your favorite fictional brand?

My favorite is Duff Beer from the Simpsons. No other fictional product defined my childhood as much as Duff.

What's your favorite brand that isn't real, but should be?

Best answer goes to the person with the most interesting product.

I'll give M$1 to anyone who tells me about a product that is not on this list:

Tip for best answer: M$1.50
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

What a cool question!

Well there is always Dunder Mifflin:

I don't know if there is really anything special about this brand other than its affiliation with the television show "The Office". I like to think that somewhere out there is a paper company that is just as dysfunctional and the Scranton branch.

Then secondly, I would go with the Dharma Initiative. Its not as much a brand as it is a company, but I would love to go pick up a jar of Dharma Initiative peanut butter at my local grocery store. I just love the simple branding of the Initiative with the symbols and all.

Then I'm sure they exist, but you gotta have an Acme brand.

Okay here are some more:

"Quietus"

This is the suicide kit from the movie "Children of Men". It was marketed towards senior citizens in the movie for an easier way out. I can't seem to find a picture of it anywhere though. It was very similar to the ad campaign of Big Pharma.

Next edition, "U.S. Robotics"
http://www.ameinfo.com/images/news/3/7853-iRobot.jpg
Highly advanced robots, who wouldn't want this in real life? Unless they actually start reenacting the movie.

And finally....

"Stark Industries"

Highly advanced weapons, cool gizmos, eccentric CEO. Again, I wish it existed. Besides I want one of these:

Re-Pet, the pet cloning service in the movie 6th Day, which I did not see on the above list. ^_^ I would totally re-pet my first dog

A close second would be Slush-O

Love the list. Lately my job has required me to evaluate different latex manufacturers and deal with various latex salesmen, so I've been thinking about Vandelay Industries - the George Costanza favorite importer/exporter of latex and latex-related products.

I would have to say:

1. From the Fallout game series, Nuka-Cola

2. From Family Guy, Pawtucket Patriot Beer

3. From It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Kitten Mittens! FUNNIEST ONE EVER!!!! (More an invention really, but a great brand name)

Now that is NOT a fictional brand, Duggan's Dew is a blended scotch Whisky that is for sale in lots of shops in the northeastern United States.

From the hit show on HBO, True Blood, not only is it the name of the show, but it's the name of a synthetic version of blood that is sold on the show. The drinks come in the most popular blood types like O negative, A or B.

HBO claims to have de-fictionalized this drink by offering it for sale on their web site.

But you can't really say it's been de-fictionalized since they're not selling blood, they're selling blood orange carbonated drink.
