M$There are plenty of other aspects that I like about Mahalo, including the community and spam fighting moderators, but I wouldn't call them "features."

M$I belonged to another site like this before and it was very hostile, unfriendly and over time just plain not fun. but you don't run into a lot of that here.
Keep up the great job M.A. and the community at large!!!.

M$1) I'm with bbrookin on saying that the very best thing about Mahalo is the community and the spirit. A bunch of thoughtful, friendly, helpful and fun people!
2) In terms of the site itself, what makes it great is not any one single feature, but the richness of having all the different features, which together give you many different things to explore, and many different ways to interact with the system. That richness makes Mahalo more like playing a game than using a typical web service.

M$To me this really separates Mahalo Answers from Yahoo Answers. Adding pictures and video is also really handy!

M$I think that the killer feature here is the point / Mahalo Dollar system.
This Q&A style site isn't unique. However, the points and M$'s encourage people to contribute in positive ways while motivating them to provide the best answers they can.
I consider this core feature to be the most important (and my favorite) feature of Mahalo.
2)
Reviewing the answers you've received on this question, I have to think that the User Interface isn't given enough credit.
Compare Mahalo to Google or Yahoo answers and you'll see some very important differences. The style, form and function of the interface makes the site responsive and easy to use. The Mahalo designers (and coders) should be given a lot of credit for their careful planning.
As features (like the 25c questions) are implemented, I sincerely hope that these folks are given enough time to continue their outstanding U.I. work. Often, beta programs / sites that are live to the public through beta miss important steps in refinement to find themselves somewhat lost in the features they've added.
3)
Last, my favorite feature is the payment / payout system.
I've used a lot of Affiliate Program sites and few of them are as easy to use. In 2 or 3 simple steps, I can put money into my account or request that money be taken out. This simplicity is an irregularity on online payment processing and is one that I think is as important as an easy to use signup form.
CONCLUSION
My favorite Mahalo feature is the point system that encourages great contributions and some truly outstanding questions / answers. However, I think that it's important not to overlook the outstanding user interface and system processes that are the building blocks of the site.
I contribute professionally to the design and implementation of both the backend and frontend elements of large scale web & user interface design.

I agreee excellent response!
100% agree that the people, community and spirit are the best features! We had a discussion yesterday about this EXACT issue and I said "if you allow someone to flame people those intelligent and considered people will just leave and all we will have left are the flammers."
That is why we are taking a zero tollerance approach to flamming and obnoxious behavior. We need the communities help in this. I was really impress with how folks responded to the "scion incident" the other day. The community reported the person, voted down their questions and told the person in a kind way that their behavior was not welcome here. At the same time we shut their account off.
I suggest any time anyone sees this behavior they kindly let the person know we don't really want that type of tone here, vote their answer down, and report them. Folks will get the message quickly.
