What is your favorite Dr. Seuss Book?

Do you like green eggs & ham?
Tip for best answer: M$1.09
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

No, I do not like "Green Eggs and Ham." I do not like them Mahalo Man.

My favorite Dr. Suess book is "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish." As a kid, I liked the overall rhyme scheme, which is so typical of all Dr. Suess books. However, as an adult, I think that the words of this book still serve as a great metaphor for the entire human race. There are all kinds of fish out there, but we are really not as different as we might think at times.

Oh The Places You'll Go!
From cradle to grave it is pertinent - and awesome!

To quote a few lines (but almost don't want to because everyone should read this book all their life long):

“Congratualtions!
Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away.”

“It’s opener there
In the wide open air.”

“Except when you don’t
Because, sometimes, you won’t.”

“Somehow you’ll escape
All that waiting and staying.
You’ll find the bright places
Where Boom Bands are playing.”

"KID, YOU'LL MOVE MOUNTAINS."

Do you know how hard those books are for someone with dyslexia?

I hated every single one of his books when I was young.

They hurt to read, they gave me headaches and I have to say even after reading them as an adult, they still hurt. whaaa....

I do use them for my students ( sometimes ) but if you are asking me for a favourite, then none, zero, zip, zilch!

I don't have a favorite but I love Green Eggs and Ham, I think all of them are a stroke of genius and were the perfect story books to get children interested in Reading.

Go Dog Go is a fantastic book for young children. The book does not have a linnear storyline, but is instead a collection of silly rhymes. It features many repeating words and phrases, which basically ensures that your child will memorize it as you read it.
