What is your favorite city in the world?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Vienna, Austria. The cultural and intellectual atmosphere is just perfect for me. None of the hype of other big cities like NYC or London, but has been consistently voted #1 place to live and raise children worldwide. (I'm not from Vienna but I've always enjoyed my visits there.)

My favorite place would have to be Aberdeen Maryland. When I was in the military I was stationed there, it was a small town with a lot of friendly people, green grass and a ton of interesting things to see (for a small town). The homey feeling you get there makes you feel like you are on one of those movies where everyone knows each other and little boys play on bikes in the street (safely) and everyone goes to the same church (and have church socials). I simply love that place and one day I am going to retire there.

I am going to have to go with Birmingham Alabama. When I was growing up, I always had so much fun there, so much to do!

I personally would go with Gilmore, Idaho. Though it is actually an old ghost town....someone decided to sell off the lots. There are now three permanent residents!!!!! There is a lake at the top of the mountain. Most of the old buildings are still standing. There is an interesting cemetary close by with all Chinese immigrants buried there.
