What is your favorite book out of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles?

And why?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I'd probably say Queen of the Damned just because I liked exploring Lestat's more human side. I suppose I've always been attracted to following how someone that seems like a monster had their beginnings. Good writers always give you the feeling that anyone if given a certain environment and circumstances could easily turn into a reviled villain.

The Tale of the Body Thief - The idea of God and Devil are on different terms than what the Church portrays and the history to include vampires and their existence in the world.

Ahh, The Tale of the Body Thief was a great story and could stand apart from the rest of the books. Lots of info about the Talamasca was given out in that book.

My favorite too! It's been many years since I read that one, but I'll never forget Lestat's experience of being human again.

Vampire Lestat - none of that self-righteous stuff from Louis, all excess and ejoyable melodrama :)

I loved the Vampire Lestat but sometimes he really was the brat prince. My favorite character died rather quickly in the series and was only given one book and part of another. Merrick Mayfair was an excellent crossover from the witches to the vampires.

I liked the Vampire Lestat but I also enjoyed Queen of the Damned. Interview with the Vampire will always have a special place for me it was my first vampire novel after that I was hooked! Ann Rice has a phenomenal talent of weaving you into the story with her imagery.
