Right now, Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III" claims the top spot on my Best Albums of 2008 list. A close second is Sun Kil Moon's "April" which has some of Mark Kozelek's most warm and emotionally devastating songs. Things may change by the time I write up my Top 25 Albums of 2008 list, but I'm not sure anything will unseat Lil Wayne right now.
Also up there: "Fleet Foxes," Sigur Ros' "Meo Suo I Eyrum Vio Spilum Endalaust," No Age's "Nouns" and Bonnie 'Prince' Billy's "Lie Down In The Light"

I second the Fleet Foxes and No Age recommendations. I'm also a huge fan of this Cut Copy "In Ghost Colours" album, which is Totally '80s in the best way possible.
Liking this Sun Kil Moon.
