Love in my view is, completion of a being, its knowledge the sense of completion, and life a good chance to live with this sense, to love. Then love what essentially exits between Man and his God, the knowledge the knowledge of God, and loving human act of relating to Him.

Yes, their happiness, their safety and their future takes precendence over your own. When you love someone, you cease to love yourself. Your love is transferred into them, and when you find someone who will love you in return, that makes it perfect for both of you.
