What is your absolute favorite talking animal(s) video?

I love this Alan Marmot video from the BBC's ''Walk on the Wild Side'' show - I think the giraffes are my favorite ("Look at her! She's all neck and legs!").

As far as a feature length movie, my favorite has to be Babe.

But my favorite video spot has to be the singing dog from Volkswagen.

I absolutely love Einstein the Talking Grey Parrot. Just watch and you will fall in love with Einstein.

He tells everyone his name, that he's excited, says hi, and is polite. He makes wolf sounds, bird sounds, bird sounds, rooster sounds, chimpanzee sounds, pig sounds, and more. Just watch and see how great Einstein is!

Enjoy!

Sir
The Jungle book which was one of the pioneers as far as this genre of movies goes is my alltime favourite. Haathi the elepahant and Kaa the python are priceless in it.

Sorry all. Remakes don't cut it with many of us. The REAL Incredible Journey, the first film (of which Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey is merely a bland, sugar-coated copy of this movie version of a shildren's book) is the 1963 movie entitled The Incredible Journey.

Please note also: In the book, Tao, is a Siamese and is depicted on the cover of the book (see 1st Wikipedia link below). In the original, 1963 movie, Tao is still a sassy Siamese. In the remake, Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey, the feline has morphed into a long-haired breed, the Himalyan - a cross between a Persian and a Siamese, which in personality and athletic ability is like a Persian in a Siamese Halloween costume. To quote WIkipedia:

"The Himalayan is a breed of long-haired cat identical in type to the Persian, with the exception of its blue eyes and point coloration, which were derived from the crossing of the Persian with the Siamese. In Europe they are referred to as Colourpoint Persians or Colourpoint Longhairs."

The Siamese on the other hand is a long-legged creature and an incredible jumper, the sort of cat most likely to be able to keep up with dogs, jump to safety, etc.

The Siamese was also the perfect choice to play the lead in a movie about animal companions seeking to be reunited with their humans due to the Siamese's extreme dependency on humans compared to other cats.

And since the question was about favorite talking animal movies, what other cat but the Siamese (and hence what other film but the ORIGINAL. 1963 version of THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY? After all, Siamese are known to be the most vocal of cats, and the most constantly vocal of cats.

Again, from Wikipedia:
Siamese are affectionate and intelligent cats, renowned for their social nature. They enjoy being with people and are sometimes described as "extroverts". As there are extrovert siamese, there also are very sensitive and nervous temperaments, which are not easily adapted to the changes of environment or to strangers. They are extremely vocal, with a loud, low-pitched voice – known as "Meezer", from which they get one of their nicknames5 – that has been compared to the cries of a human baby, and persistent in demanding attention. They also have a great need for human companionship. Often they bond strongly to a single person. These cats are typically active and playful, even as adults.1112

The social orientation of Siamese cats may be related to their lessened ability to live independent of humans. Siamese coat colouration is appealing to humans, but is ineffective for camouflage purposes...being dependent on humans may have been a survival trait for ancestors of the Siamese.12

What better cat than a vocal Siamese to play the lead in The Incredible Journey?

The above was dictated to me by my "Meezer", Mazel Tov, a 10 yr old Sealpoint Siamese "rescue" cat. I am in no way responsible for the contents of this post. (Mazel is sorry that we could not find any footage on YouTube or the Web from the original and only The Incredible Journey).

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.
