What is worse fruit snacks or a can of soda?

Are the "heathly" fruit snacks I feed my kids just like them drinking a can of coke?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Oh man I LOVE gushers!

I drink diet soda to balance that out.

So it looks like 2 packs of fruit snacks = 1 can of coke

Yea calorie wise it's a about half. But there is only 12g of sugar in the fruit snack compared to 39g from coke.

fruits snacks are definitely healthier because they are made from natural fruits. Can soda it is just a soda with a lot of calories, sugar, and many other unhealthy ingredients.

SODA IS THE WORST WHAT YOU CAN DRINK!

Did anyone ever say to you, "the best way to stop smoking is to never start?" That's the way I feel about soda. It can become addictive. A few years ago I went through a soda craze. I gained 30 pounds in less than 3 months! That's when I was still running around after pre-schoolers every day, 35-40 hours per week. I shiver to think what I would have gained if I wasn't active at all.
I actually developed cravings for soda and would get very shaky without the caffeine after awhile. Happy to say I kicked the habit. Let them eat fruit (snacks) before you offer them a soda.

My own experience, reading the labels, consulting with my doctor.

Soda, along with having tons of sugar, is horrible for the teeth. If your kids don't brush their teeth after drinking soda there is a good chance their teeth will develop cavities.
